Mayweather is an American professional boxer. He was born on Feb. 24, 1977 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He has three national Golden Gloves and a bronze medal in the 1996 Olympics. He became a professional boxer in 1996. By 2007, he was considered the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world and had 38 undefeated bouts. He retired in 2008, but returned to the ring in September 2009.
He is a five-division world champion, where he has won seven world titles, as well as the lineal championship in three different weight classes. He is now a WBC welterweight champion.
